I’m back with the second installment of my Essence Cosmetics post! If you haven’t got the chance to check out my thoughts on Essence Cosmetics’ Eye products that I have received, click here now! In that post, I also have a giveaway (ends 6th September 2013) where 2 winners will win 2 products of my choice each. In this post, I’ll be reviewing Essence Cosmetics’ Face and Nails products.
Colour Control UV Make-Up Base (SGD$7.90, 30ML)
A new product that Essence Cosmetics formulated for asian skin, this UV make-up base contains skin tone correcting pigments to balance out yellow skin tone. In addition, the product has SPF30/PA+++ to protects skin and prevents skin darkening. This product is also available in Moisturizing.
Dermatologically tested, oil-free, fragrance-free and claims to be non pore clogging, this purple base is very liquidy in consistency and spread easily, feeling very lightweight on the skin. Has a slight sheen once applied, it makes the skin flawless and perfect for any foundation application after.
All-In-One BB Cream (SGD$7.90, 30ML)
Brands are slowly coming up with BB Creams and Essence Cosmetics keeps up with the trend. Similar to the UV Base just introduced, their All-In-One BB Cream claims to not clog pores, is oil-free, fragrance-free and contains SPF30.
Comes in 3 shades, I received the middle shade (02 Natural) and fits perfectly to my skin tone. Be careful when you use this product as it is very liquidy and can very easily squeeze out more than what you really need. The application process is easy as its consistency allows quick blending. This BB Cream has a slight dewy finish thus I recommend it more for dry skin.
Match2Cover Cream Concealer (SGD$4.50, 2.3G)
“A perfect pair. The creamy, matt texture of the concealer offers high coverage that reliably conceals impurities of the skin and dark circles under your eyes. Simply apply with your fingers and any traces of long party nights or annoying blackheads will disappear! One kit contains two shades in light and medium beige, which can also be mixed together.” – Essence Cosmetics Website
Offered with 2 shades of creamy concealer, Essence Cosmetics up their game by giving us consumers the freedom to mix our own shade according to our needs. I personally use the darker shade for any blemishes while using the lighter shade for my darker eye circles. As for the mixture of both shades, I use it to conceal and highlight the bridge of my nose at the same time.
2-In-1 Make-Up Powder Wet & Dry (SGD$7.50, 6.5G)
I’m usually not a fan of using powder foundation. However, it’s always my go-to product when I am in need for touch-ups on the go. It’s mess-free, has the perfect consistency and coverage to help me touch up in the middle of the days.
I’m pleasant surprise to find Essence Cosmetics’ powder to be quite finely milled.
2 In 1 Profi File (SGD$3.90)
An inexpensive nail file, enough said.
Colour & Go Quick Drying Nail Polish (SGD$2.90, 8ML)
Nail polishes that are priced at SGD$2.90, what more can you ask for? Not to mention, Essence Cosmetics offers a whole range of colours for you to choose from. No doubt, you will definitely be spoilt for choices.
I’m not new to these awesome nail varnishes. In fact, I already owned a few. Besides the opacity of the color, the relatively big flat brush makes application a breeze. Just 3 strokes and 1 coat and you’re done! Never fails to amaze with their great quality and price point. Thumbs up!
