I tried using some of both Essence and Catrice Cosmetics’ NEW products that will only be available from May 2014 onwards. To be honest, I’m really liking them! With their price points, I really don’t expect that much so they always exceed my expectations. In this post, I show you how I use a few of their new releases to create this everyday look. Enjoy!

NEW Catrice Sun Glow Shimmering Bronzing Powder (S$9.90)

‘Sun Dance. The new Bronzing Powder creates a perfect summer tan. The velvety soft pressed powder with fine shimmer pigments ensures a fresh and radiant complexion. The 3D embossment and two perfectly aligned bronzing colours don’t just look fabulous, the two shades also blend perfectly. That’s what summer looks like!’ – Catrice Cosmetics

Lovely block of bronze goodness, isn’t it? The jagged lines creates friction and thus allow my brush to pick up the powder more easily. It’s not like those pigmented dark bronzer whereby I have to be extra careful to not give myself a bad tan job. But rather, it emits a healthy glow with a touch of shimmer.

NEW Essence Cosmetics Blush Up! Powder Blush (S$5.90)

‘Colour-flow… the latest hair and fashion trend is finally reaching make-up too! Essence is bringing a cool and unique blush with a colour gradient to the beauty stores. The silky, semi-translucent texture with subtle coverage gives your cheeks a gorgeous, fresh look. The blush with the innovative colour gradient is available in two colour combinations.’ – Essence Cosmetics

I chose to mix both colours together to create the above shade. You can definitely the coral and the pink distinctively however they are mixed flawlessly. Pure magic. The flash has lightened the colour on my cheeks but you see the glow in the picture below.

NEW Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof (S$9.90)

‘Full of function. When this innovative powder comes into contact with water, the drops simply roll off the surface. Once applied on your skin, it can withstand the damp and mattifies for hours. The delicate formula with a soft filter effect ensures a visibly flawless and refined complexion. In addition, there are vitamin A and E ingredients to pamper your skin. The transparent colour adapts to every skin tone. Also practical: the integrated mirror. This powder is a true must-have when you’re on-the-go.’ – Catrice Cosmetics

NEW Catrice Cosmetics Absolute Bright Eyeshadow Palette (S$9.90)

‘Pretty in pastel. The latest trend, captured in one palette. Six wearable pastel shades and a practical duo-applicator offer accumulated know-how: soft textures with a high colour-dispersion, long durability and various effects ranging from slightly shimmering to extremely pearly. Pastel is making a statement!’ – Catrice Cosmetics

These are some pretty shades, perfect for the inner corners of the eyes for various looks! All looks require a contrast of brights and darks. And regardless of the type of look that you are going for, these shades in this palette offers the bright side. Pigmented and not too powdery, the shadows blend nicely and give the eyes a a 3 dimensional effect.

NEW Catrice Cosmetics Made to Stay Smoothing Lip Polish (S$9.90)

‘Highclas Hybrid. 3 benefits in 1 product: the colour of a lipstick, the durability of a lip stain and the shine of a glass. A new, innovative premium products is joining the range with the Made To Stay Smoothing Lip Polish. 6 shades including soft rose, poppy pink, classic red and trendy berry tones guarantee a burst of colour. Thanks to the soft flock applicator, an accurate application is quick and easy. The results: unique, brilliant colour for up to 8 hours – and it feels wonderfully pleasant on your lips too. No drying out. No sticky sensation.’ – Catrice Cosmetics

Call me late on the bandwagon, but I have been obsessed with the Korean gradient lip these few weeks. And this product has helped me achieve it easily! It really lives up to its claims of being pigmented, lasting and shiny. And I’m really loving it. Recommended for everyone!

NEW Essence Cosmetics Maximum Volume Mascara (S$4.90)

‘Maximum lashes! There’s a new addition to the “maximum” range. The new maximum volume mascara has an innovative elastomer brush with elliptical blades that form a reservoir on the inside. This allows the mascara to not only provide perfectly defined lashes, but breathtaking volume, too! Opthalmologically tested.’ – Essence Cosmetics

I am pleasantly surprised by this mascara, partly because I have never believed such affordable mascara could really work. But boy was I wrong! Although it didn’t gave me the maximum volume like it said it would, it still did a pretty good job in lengthening and coating my lashes. It also did worked well for my bottom lashes which is always a plus.

So that’s my everyday look of the day using both Essence and Catrice Cosmetics NEW products that will only be released in May 2014. For more information, follow them:
